At Friendsgiving the host usually covers the turkey or main and everyone else brings a side, a dessert, or drinks. If you cannot cook, bring wine, rolls, or a bakery pie; if you can, bring a side that reheats well, like mac and cheese or stuffing. Use the sign-up sheet below so the table does not end up with four pies and no potatoes.

The weekend before works for most groups, since many friends travel home for the holiday itself.

A turkey needs the oven for hours. If you do not want to roast one, order a smoked turkey or make a large lasagna.

Ask guests to arrive with dishes hot or ready to serve cold. Keep one oven hour free for reheating.
