# Perfect Potluck Alternative

> The same free potluck sign-up, without the shared password

Perfect Potluck is a free, long-running tool for one group meal: the organizer lists categories, it emails invitations and reminders, and guests log in to the schedule with a password the organizer shares. If you want guests to claim a dish straight from a link, or you also run volunteer shifts and RSVPs, here is how SignupKit compares.

- No login required for participants
- Free plan available
- Mobile-friendly signups

## When Perfect Potluck is the better choice

- You want the tool to email the invitations for you from a list of addresses
- You like its built-in potluck calculator and recipe ideas
- Your group already uses it and knows the password routine
- A password on the schedule suits a private group better than a shareable link

## Why organizers look for a Perfect Potluck alternative

- Guests forget or mistype the shared password and text the organizer instead of signing up
- Group chats and church bulletins work better with a link people tap once
- The same group also needs volunteer shifts, a snack schedule, or an RSVP, and wants one tool
- Organizers want to see sign-ups and allergy notes on a phone at a glance

## Moving a potluck from Perfect Potluck

1. **Copy your categories** — Add each category with how many people it needs: mains, sides, desserts, drinks, supplies.
2. **Share one link** — Send it by text, email, or the group chat. Guests claim a dish without a password or account.
3. **Point the old schedule at the new link** — Add a note to the Perfect Potluck event so nobody signs up in two places.

## How to Create Your Potluck Sign-Up Sheet with SignupKit

1. **Create your event** — Add the event name, date, location, and a short description for participants.
2. **Add sign-up slots** — Create slots for dishes, shifts, roles, or RSVP options. Set quantities and optional deadlines.
3. **Share one link** — Send a single mobile-friendly link. Participants sign up without creating an account.
4. **Track and remind** — See who signed up in real time, export the list, and send automated reminder emails.
