# Best Sign-Up App for Scout Troops

> What to use, what it costs, and when it is not us

Scout units already have tools for advancement and rosters. What they often lack is an easy link for parents to claim campout meals, popcorn booth shifts, or Eagle project jobs. Use the troop system for the troop; use a sign-up sheet for the one-offs.

- No login required for participants
- Free plan available
- Mobile-friendly signups

## The short answer

Use Scoutbook (free for Scouting America units) or TroopTrack ($99 a year per troop) for advancement, rosters, and the calendar. For popcorn booth shifts, campout food, and Eagle project volunteers, especially volunteers outside the troop, SignupKit is free and needs no account.
